birthday princess

Last night we celebrated my best friends birthday, (embarrassingly) at the same restaurant I visited and blogged about on Sunday {here}, Ocean Bay.

The weather was horrendous so before we even arrived at the restaurant, our outfits and hair were ruined. The best thing about visiting Swanage is the journey on the chain ferry across the mouth of the harbour. However, last night it was the worst journey I have ever done at sea. But, we arrived eventually, hungry and ready to eat.

The table had been covered in birthday confeti, perfect for a birthday Princess.

We we’re all feeling rather chirpy and ready for a good feast.

After some picture posing we hastily cracked open the Rose and enjoyed the stormy but still beautiful view.

Like Sunday, I opted for Scallops which were slightly smaller than before but still delicious. For main, I had the Sea Bass (can’t get enough of seafood !) Food envy of the night was Rachels Crab Tart and Fillet of Beef with King Prawns.

Perfect scollops.

And my dreamy seabass.

Last but by NO MEANS least, I naughtily asked for the dessert menu. The Triple Chocolate Torte with Strawberry Coulis instantly caught my eye and I was not disappointed. The light mouse was a perfect end to a delicious meal and a wonderful evening.

So after a few bottles of wine, we headed out into the hurricane and headed for the chain ferry home. The result of “enjoying nature”…

Happy birthday gorgeous lady x
